Spring is just around the corner which means that the sea urchin season is open on Costa Brava, specifically in Palafrugell (just 25 km from our hotel) and its surrounding area. Here this season is called garoinada. Traditionally, annual gastronomic campaign is held from January 14 to March 27. This year 11 restaurants, including 5 hotel restaurants, will participate in the celebration. They will prepare special menus where the sea urchin will be the “star” course.
